The Bow River Chapter of Trout Unlimited, in cooperation with the Alberta Conservation Association has undertaken a project to replace cottonwood trees lost to the 2013 flood on Legacy Island. We will be planting cottonwoods and poplars, and doing some minor cleanup and maintenance on Saturday October 22, 2016. The project starts at 10:00 AM and we should be wrapping up by 2 or 3 PM. Coffee, water and snacks will be supplied.

Volunteers should bring clothing appropriate to the weather conditions and sturdy footwear. Although we have some tools and work gloves, if you have a shovel, work gloves or water buckets, bring them along. You should place some identifying marks on your equipment so they are returned to you.

Your efforts will be much appreciated, and the Legacy Conservation Project will advance a large step forward to a sustainable future. We need about 20 people, call Rick Moses at the Bow River Chapter at 403-860-3147 or register here at EventBrite
